A unique 'sandwich' of technical expertise and aesthetics
An elegant private residence in the attractive town of Macherio in the Brianza hills north of Milan has been clad with PIETRANATURAL natural stone. A distinctive example of technical know-how, innovation and aesthetic taste.
The project has involved cladding the exterior walls and proving elegant paving around these. A difficult project, as the stone had to be laid on top of external thermal insulation.
Rastone gladly took up the challenge, with great success by using the 'Sandwich' system. An innovative, patented system that consists of a layer of rigid thermal insulation glued to a sheet of fibre-reinforced cement. This package is entirely supported by a specially designed bracket system anchored to the load-bearing structure and capable of supporting the weight of the 2 cm thick stone cladding. |
Use of the "Sandwich" system makes it possible to combine high performance thermal insulation and unmistakable aesthetic beauty, as is seen in this private villa in Macherio. The choice of PIETRANATURAL natural stone cladding also gives free rein to the designer's creativity.
